Sportivate

Sportivate is a new scheme from Sport England aimed at encouraging more 14–25 year olds to participate in sport. National Lottery funded, with £32 million being invested nationally over the next four years, the scheme is part of the mass participation legacy plans for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Sportivate will give 300,000 teenagers and young adults across England, who currently aren’t playing sport in their own time, the chance to receive six to eight weeks of coaching in a sport of their choice. An investment of £597,240 in Hertfordshire over the next four years will enable over 5,500 local people to take part.
