Paralympic Festival
Paralympic Festival was held on the 3rd Of March at Penzance Leisure Centre. This was the first joint event ran with the Penryn Partnership. We had 78 Pupils with varying disabilities all taking part in a fantastic day of competition. The sports which the children took part in were, Indoor Athletics, Football, Trampolining, Multisports, and Badminton. Some children have been talent Id to progress along the Playground To Podium which is a government initiative to spot children with the potential to reach the podium at 2012. Those children will be invited to compete at County Athletics.
Many Thanks must go to the coaches who took part in the festival, Warren Parker, Stuart Rayner, Janine Butterley, Viv Matthews, Mo Pearson, Steve Hillman, Jon Wooton, and on Trampolines, Hetty, Babs, Howard and Rob Strickland.
The next event is on the 2nd of July all details to be confirmed soon,
