Badminton England Coaching for Schools
A new project between Penwith SSP & BADMINTON England is due to commence shortly. The project is to deliver a 2 hour badminton taster session in all of the 30 Penwith Primary Schools. This venture will be joint funded by both parties. The sessions will be run by Level 2 coaches & an invitation will be given to all the children taking part to attend the primary clubs that have recently been set up in the Penwith area as follows: Cape Cornwall School – Mondays 4pm – 4.30, Mounts Bay Junior Badminton Club (Penwith College) Thursdays 5.30pm-6.30pm & and Mounts Bay School – Fridays 4.30pm – 5.30pm. Penwith is now part of a new Community Badminton Network and BADMINTON England are keen to support such projects in areas where badminton is set to grow. This project offers the chance for those taking part to continue their playing pathway into the local clubs and beyond!
